When I think about inspiration, what inspires me most are ordinary people who have done extraordinary things. As different as ideas and concepts are, there is no set rule for the making of inspiration. Inspiration cannot be forced or artificially manufactured. Its elusiveness arises from within and is manifest in great passion, heart, and soul.
The spontaneous spark of Inspiration looks and feels a little different for everyone. We can be ignited by the inspiration of others, by spirit, by nature, by ideas, and so forth. Often purposeful, inspiration feels intensely enthusiastic and excites and moves us toward new possibilities and creations. When we are inspired, we are self-motivated and become a catalyst to animate and infuse energy to manifest a meaningful outcome.
That’s how I feel when I’m inspired. I am excited to see what wants to come forth through me. I am the vehicle for the Sacred Feminine, and it is my heart prayer that who I am, inspires others to find their own calling and live their sacred purpose.
There is a connection between the concept of inspiration and words related to breathing. The old French word, “inspiracion” and the Latin word “inspirare” carry the meaning “to blow into, breathe upon,” metaphorically to “inspire, excite, inflame,” as in, the breath of life.
